Student Conference on Inter-American Studies
You are cordially invited to the first meeting of students who would like to participate in the Student Conference on Inter-American Studies.
WHAT IS IT?
It is a student-initiated conference seeking to promote an interdisciplinary study of the Americas. It aims to bring new topics to the faculty and offer students an opportunity to speak up and demonstrate their skills and knowledge.
WHO CAN BECOME INVOLVED?
Every student that is interested in Inter-American Studies, i.e. any aspect of life, culture, identity or society in the “Western Hemisphere”, and willing to work.
The organizers are looking for SPEAKERS who will deliver papers on topics in Inter-American Studies in a language of their own choice and CONFERENCE INTERPRETERS who will facilitate general understanding.
In the winter term meetings will be held approximately once a month. By mid-January speakers will be expected to have submitted their papers so that interpreters will have enough time to prepare for the conference. The conference itself will take place at the beginning of the summer term.
You can also contact her on FB or meet her in the faculty's corridors. Feel free to ask her any question you have.
Thursday afternoon, October 13 – to be confirmed.
