Central European Forum 2010

On November 5-6, 2010, the civic association Projekt Fórum, together with Václav Havel's Library and many other institutions, organizes the second year of Central European Forum in MDPOH, Bratislava. This year’s central theme is Holding On to Our Freedom.

Central European Forum 2010 is expecting the participation of more than twenty writers and intellectuals, including Professor Zygmunt Bauman, Professor Claus Offe, Adam Michnik, Karel Schwarzenberg, Czech writer Jáchym Topol, Laurent Binet, French writer and latest laureate of the Goncourt Prize for his first novel, Michael Kocáb, Hungarian essayist Lászlo F. Földényi, or Andrej Dynko, the best-known representative of independent journalism in Belarus.

Central European Forum 2010 also invites you to two accompanying exhibitions: The Journeys of Peter Župník and Surfacing by Daniel Fischer, a tribute to eight Russian heroes who protested the Soviet invasion to Czechoslovakia in Red Square in August 1968.
